Artist Bio

Tektro is one alias used by artist Ryan Weaver. With over a decade of experience, Tektro brings a dynamic view which propels his panoramic sound into a surreal journey. His approach, high quality music, high quality sounds, presented in truly engaging, unique and entertaining way, makes him a trusted persona of sound.

Bringing a fresh approach to music, he often doesn’t conform to common gimmicks in sound, his approaches every track open minded and often leaves people pleasantly surprised, in direction of sound and concept. “It is very hard to really pin point my style, because what I make one moment I won’t make another. I constantly keeping things fresh and new, but without ever losing a sense of history or origin”, he explains.  “I find myself a lot of times, not knowing what I am going to make or do.  It is probably why I spend longer then the average person on tracks, cause I try different avenues and idea, sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t.” All of this leads to a fresh spontaneous sound that is sure to please.

Ryan began his career in Philadelphia in the late ninties playing under the DJ name Dream Weaver with crews such as Nocturnal, Ravegear and Eternal Productions.  Having played every major venue in philly, from Space, Evolution, Shampoo, Transit, Wharehouse, and Fluid; even having the privilege to bring the sun to a crowded Electric Factory of close to 3000 patrons.  By the early 00s Ryan was playing to crowds across the country from Detroit, to Huston, NYC to Florida.  In the mid 2000 Ryan began other business ventures which pulled him away from playing publicly, but continued to DJ as a hobby and has collected of 50,000 tracks in over 15 years. In 2010 Ryan has dedicated his full schedule to time in the studio. Expect 4th qtr of 2011 to be big!!!!!
